Good 10 miles on the mill. So nice not to have to run out in the stiffening heat! I don’t know how people do it. We will be doing a 20-mile run next Saturday and have already been talking about how early we want to get started. At least by 6 a.m., if not earlier.

The knee pain held off until almost mile 4 but I didn’t back down, just lengthened my stride and that seemed to help. It returned around mile 6 and I did have to back down a bit at that point but pick up the pace again not too long after that.

Next week will be an easy one with 4 5-mile runs, with an off day on Friday, and the 20-miler I wrote of earlier on Saturday [4 laps around the Rock]. I’m looking forward to that and to hearing how my running partner’s first week of school goes.

This is my first Blog entry from WordPress. I spent approximately 4 hours last night importing my Blog from Blogspot. Yes, it too THAT long! 2 1/2+ years of Blogging takes a while to move. I think I’m going to like WordPress much better. It’s a lot cleaner, straight-forward and cutting edge when it comes to design and technology. I’ve dumped all of the “About Me” stuff, if you want to read that, you’ll need to go to Facebook.

We have found the secret to back-to-school shopping at Wal-Mart! You park way down on the end by the garden center and use that entrance and exit. Checkout there is a breeze!
