My first post from the new MacBook Pro. This is def going to take some getting used to and some specific customizations. I’ve loaded Office for Mac, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Acrobat. However, Photoshop is not cooperating even after a reinstall 😦 I’m assuming it is a compatibility issue since the install did not present any problems. That’s going to be a problem! I’d like to upgrade to the newer Creative Suite, just didn’t want to fork out the $$$ for it right now.

Today I am certainly multi-tasking! I’ve got the old Mac open and working on the normal stuff for the week and some other deadlines. The Gateway is in backup mode to a 300 GB external hard drive– this is what I will be using to transfer files to the new Mac. And the new Mac is sitting here waiting to be customized and so on. I’m running it on battery to see how long it will last and so far I’m up to 4+ hours– pretty good!

I’m done loading software for now. Got to figure out the Photoshop deal. Tomorrow a friend, who knows much more about this stuff than I do, will load Parallells, Windows XP and get the Windows side up and running.

This is the first day of training for the ING GA Marathon, the first of an 18-week training regiment. 5 fast miles on the mill this a.m. Tomorrow and Wednesday will be off days with a 10-miler on Thursday, an off day on Friday and another 10-miler on Saturday.
