OK, so I’ve been a real bum over Christmas break. I’ve been sleeping in and slacking off but all of that is quickly coming to an end! Tomorrow morning dawns a new day, a new week, a new year… I’ve got to get back to the daily grind, which isn’t really a grind at all. I seriously live a pretty pampered life and so thankful for it.

A full week of work awaits me tomorrow with many deadlines. The marathon training cranks back up with 4 5-mile days [Monday – Thursday], a rest day on Friday and HOPEFULLY, just hopefully, if I can pull it off… a 15-miler on Saturday.

Races this month will be limited to the ATC PTC 10K on the 19th and that will more than likely be my Peachtree qualifier for this year since it looks like I will not be able to make the Silver Comet 10K on March 8th — scheduling issues…  I’m looking forward to the PTC 10K, it is one of my favorites — so peaceful and serene. I remember one year when it was like 2 degrees. Hopefully it will be much warmer than that this year. I think it was the year before last when it was like 34 and raining — there’s not much of anything more disgusting than that!

I look forward to waking up early in the a.m. and hitting the mill for 5 miles. Hope I feel the same tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m. 🙂
