3.15.08

The weather delayed our run this morning by about an hour– we got started around 8:00. Didn’t quite make the 20 I had hoped for. We ran 15 and walked 4 and then I was DONE! My running partner ran another mile and got the car and brought it back to where I was waiting after a potty break. Then the rains started up again… Whoo Hoo… We finished just in time!

I am seriously considering switching to the 1/2. :-/ That’s very, very sad, but I just don’t think I’m ready for this marathon. I KNOW I couldn’t have even walked another 7 miles today and I can’t see that being much different 2 weeks from now.

My right foot [heel] is giving me fits! I’m icing it now and think I’m going to have to see a specialist but I don’t think there is any rush. I don’t think there is anything they can do in two weeks to make it comfortable enough for me to run 26.2 miles. I just don’t think it’s going to happen. I like to run, but running and pain mixed is NO FUN!

The Grand Prix that caught on fire has been totaled by the insurance company. It’s an interesting thing how the Lord worked all this out. I was just thinking that instead of happening to my bff it could have happened to my running partner when she had it just the month before. And, what if it had happened as she was leaving for work one morning… in their garage? It could have burned down their whole house. If it had to happen, I’m glad it happened the way it did.
