The girls made the first flight home that we tried to get out on yesterday but I did not. They grabbed a lunch before boarding the plane and I had just enough time to grab lunch after they took off before then next plane left a little over an hour later.

Lunch was at the French Meadow Cafe. It’s a wonderful place to eat in the Minneapolis airport. It’s totally organic and boast of being the first totally organic restaurant ever in a U. S. airport. It’s been in operation since 1985. You can purchase some of their products at Whole Foods.

I made the next flight. I think I got the last seat ๐Ÿ˜ฎ The girls waited for me in the Atlanta airport killing their time by finding a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory on concourse C. I didn’t even know they had one of those in the Atlanta airport.

We all made it safely home by what time I don’t really remember but it was earlier than our planned flight.

I got unpacked and even had time to play with my new toy from RideMakerZ — the remote control Mini ๐Ÿ™‚ I just played inside but today I took it out onto the open road… well… actually, just out onto the driveway ๐Ÿ™‚

We all settled up financially with Dad and each other and I’m only in the red by a couple hundred dollars. We are making plans to go again in December!

Today we tried out a new schedule at church with the regular Sunday School and morning worship service time and then an afternoon service at 1:30, no evening service. I LOVE IT! Sunday evening family time! And there are a lot of other advantages as well, especailly for gas saving and elderly people who can’t drive at night. I hope it sticks but I’d be real surprised if it does.

I should say, all that eating and I only did less than a pound damage, at least that’s what the scale said this morning. Sometimes these things take a day or two to catch up with you. We’ll see what it says tomorrow morning. If that’s all the damage, I’d have to say that all the 20+ hours of walking the mall must have saved me!

Thursday night I have to weigh in at WW so it better be a really good week! Then we’ll keep it going until the 4th and hopefully have a brat after the Peachtree Road Race. I hear with the new finish line this year it’s going to be even hillier, if that’s at all possible. Well, I guess it is possible ’cause the Peachtree in no way compares to the U.S. 10K Classic on Labor Day– Cobb Parkway. Now THAT’S hilly!

I don’t forsee any “challenges” this week. Sari Beri is headed off to camp tomorrow a.m. so it’s aught to be a pretty quiet time around here. I’m going to miss her ๐Ÿ˜ฆ an so will Ellie cat.
