Storms last night hit us hard! Fortunately though, we suffered very little damage. Only lost the top of one tree that I have discoverd so far. However, the top of that tree fell right on the tractor, but I think it will be OK. I checked the radar before I went to bed because I could hear thunder off in the distance. [You know my obsession with the weather radar :-o] There was a little storm on the radar, but it looked like it would go south of us as most do. Well, evidently shortly after that, the storm exploded into a massive storm with hail, high winds and lots of rain. We ended up spending some time in the hallway and then the power went out about 10:30 p.m. I guess it was. About 4:00 a.m. my bff heard a chainsaw and shortly after that the power was restored.

Sari Beri heads off for a week of camp this morning. She’s somewhat excited and somewhat not. Camp is fun and you learn a lot and grow spiritually, but sleeping in a little twin bed when you are used to a comfy, cushie queen, sharing a bathroom and sleeping in a dormroom instead of your own private suite, and going w/o aircondition… well, I guess you realise how spoiled you really are :-/ She’s going to miss Ellie cat too but we’ll take good care of her. Sari will do just fine though, and she’ll come back a better, stronger Christian as a result. It’s SURE going to be a quiet week around the house though :-/

A week from today I go back to the Sport Medicin Podiatris to see about my Plantar Faciitis. I don’t expect the news too be good since the pain is still there. This visit is probably going to intail a cordisone injection and I am quite fearful of injections of any type :0
