Storms last night hit us hard! Fortunately though, we suffered very little damage. Only lost the top of one tree that I have discoverd so far. However, the top of that tree fell right on the tractor, but I think it will be OK. I checked the radar before I went to bed because I could hear thunder off in the distance. [You know my obsession with the weather radar :-o] There was a little storm on the radar, but it looked like it would go south of us as most do. Well, evidently shortly after that, the storm exploded into a massive storm with hail, high winds and lots of rain. We ended up spending some time in the hallway and then the power went out about 10:30 p.m. I guess it was. About 4:00 a.m. my bff heard a chainsaw and shortly after that the power was restored.
Sari Beri heads off for a week of camp this morning. She’s somewhat excited and somewhat not. Camp is fun and you learn a lot and grow spiritually, but sleeping in a little twin bed when you are used to a comfy, cushie queen, sharing a bathroom and sleeping in a dormroom instead of your own private suite, and going w/o aircondition… well, I guess you realise how spoiled you really are She’s going to miss Ellie cat too but we’ll take good care of her. Sari will do just fine though, and she’ll come back a better, stronger Christian as a result. It’s SURE going to be a quiet week around the house though
A week from today I go back to the Sport Medicin Podiatris to see about my Plantar Faciitis. I don’t expect the news too be good since the pain is still there. This visit is probably going to intail a cordisone injection and I am quite fearful of injections of any type :0
