The world’s largest coffee chain is trying to combat the cutbacks with their new loyalty card.
Starbucks is rolling out the new Gold Card on November 4. It will cost $25 a year and will give customers 10% off most items in the store. It won’t be good for digital downloads or gift cards.
The chain also cut prices on its holiday gifts, the coffee sampler and CDs will be cheaper this season. Tables with gifts under $10 will also be set up at many stores.
For the first time Starbucks is offering discounted gift cards in a partnership with Costco. You can now buy five $20 gift cards for $80 at Costco.
