ODD STORY OF THE WEEK: So Tuesday or Wednesday, I can’t really remember which, this guy comes in the store. He’s about 30 and sort of looked like a bum, not dressed very nice. He picks up one of the new Advent calendars we have for sale– a fancy calendar in a box that cost about $20. Then he buys a fancy $4-$5 drink and tips us $2.55. He starts telling me how he just got back from some casino– first time he’d ever gambled he says, and he won $26,000! [That’s a Mini Cooper!] THEN, he proceeds to open his coat and SHOW ME THE MONEY!!! A HUGE stack of $100 bills! He says he’s on his way to the bank. Now not even I would stop by a Starbucks on my way to the bank with that much cash! Not even I!

Today we took off for Ellijay about lunch time. We’re spending the weekend with family up here at the cabin overlooking Carter’s Lake. Tomorrow we will go to Blue Ridge. Nice to be with family.
