My mom is doing great today! I’m just waiting for the side effects to set it. Every little thing you feel you think it’s because of the chemo. She did have a bad headache last night but a friend whose husband has recently been through chemo said that might be from a drug they gave her to fend off the nausea. This afternoon when I went to visit her and take her an Orange Mango Banana Vivanno– her favorite, she was working away [of course] and one side of her face was pretty flushed– maybe because of the chemo, but who knows. So far– so good. PRAISE THE LORD!

Today, I sampled 3 different coffee pairings with customers and partners:

In the a.m. I paired Breakfast Blend with Blueberry Coffee Cake, around lunch time I paired Espresso Roast with Pumpkin Loaf, and then in the early afternoon I paired Caffe Verona with the Double Chocolate Brownie. YUM! Customers and partners alike were receptive to trying the combinations which were all paired perfectly if I say so myself 🙂

The next coffee tasting will be a comparison of the different Starbucks roasts: a mild coffee- again Breakfast Blend, a medium coffee- still undecided, and an extra bold coffee- Gold Coast. I’ll probably do this one on Thursday.
