9.5.07

Yesterday was a rest day; 3 miles on the mill this a.m., not the 5 the schedule calls for.

Quite stiff and the soreness set in from Monday’s race yesterday late afternoon.

I’m beginning to wonder if any of the supplements that I took during my training for the ING GA Marathon might have prevented some of the problems I’m experiencing now. I think I will definitely go back to them when I start training for next year’s ING Marathon! It will be interesting to see if they make a difference.

I feel like I am SO out of shape! However, I’m back on track to get back to where I need to be weight wise, strength wise and endurance wise.

I synced the Garmin this a.m. and was quite please to see that I had run a sub 7 minute mile pace towards the end of Monday’s race. [That was about the time I saw the girl standing there with the sign that read “RUN LIKE YOU STOLE SOMETHING” — gotta love that sign!] WHEW! No wonder I’m sore, that’s fast for an old lady! Sure would like to get to the point that I could do that continuously for 6 miles, or even 3! That would be a 3+ hour marathon — it’ll NEVER HAPPEN! Not in this lifetime. Wonder if we’ll run in heaven?

I’m getting antsy about a new laptop. So antsy in fact that I listed one of my Gateway port replicators on Ebay this a.m. The other will go up if that one sells. I can’t imagine why anyone would want to buy one, but I see them for sell on there every once-in-a-while, so, we’ll see if it sells. Anywho, we have wireless here in the office now [and at home] so it’s unlikely that I’ll be using the dock any longer — haven’t used the one at home is a long, long time.

I’m still watching several MCM bibs on Craig’s List and Ebay – I’m hopeless, I know…
